Enve 65 Clincher rim
Super aerodynamic and strong.  Yes, you can buy real speed. At just 485 grams this is one of the lightest 65 mm deep clincher carbon rims you can get. The patented process they use molds the spoke holes eliminating drilling of the rim.  That means the fibers are not cut in the manufacturing making a much stronger rim allowing higher spoke tensions.  Higher spoke tensions mean you will have to true them less.  I don't know exactly how they do it but they also come out of the box incredibly straight.  We have worked with other high end carbon rim makers from the US and have had lots of issues getting the spoke tension equal - not so with these.  When I first met with this company a few years ago at The Sea Otter I was pretty taken back by the cost of the rims.  They are expensive.  But I think they are the best rims you can buy so if you want the best go no further. 485 grams and comes in 20, 24 and 28 hole options. comes with internal nipples. Enve suggest you use their special brake pads sold separately (or it voids their warranty) ERD 525 Rim width 21.6 mm rim depth 65 mm
