The simple answer was a true Swiss passion for only the best quality. DT 240 hubs have become a standard to be measured against. The 240 rear hub features optimized flange location to optimize non drive side spoke tension. A patented star ratchet cassette body offers quick engagement, low maintenance and high strength. A special internal coating improves the life span on the internal parts. 220 grams and comes in 24,28, and 32 hole options. 130 mm spacing. Quick Release, 15 mm alloy axle, steel washers on drive side end cap. Come in either Shimano/Sram or Campy. the Campy includes a 12/13 lockring
